6 *EPIC* Action Sequences In My Favourite Games |

Today's video games have a lot of elements that keep us hooked and wanting for more. One such element is pure action and brute force. Most good action sequences come from single player campaign games due to the cinematic experience of uninterrupted camera shots. Here are my top 5 picks for best action sequences in games!

#6. Rafe And Nate fence-off

(Uncharted 4: A Thief's End)

The famed Uncharted franchise has come a long way off evolution. This was rightly proven by  the fourth game which gave us stunning visuals, great story and equally epic action. The final fight between Rafe and Nate that ends in Rafe 'getting all the treasure' is a great reminder for us that you don't necessarily need Guns for glory. Sometimes,  a blade is enough.

#5. Kiryu and Nishikiyama

(Yakuza Kiwami)

Yakuza is known for its engaging story and combat mechanics. What it lacks in graphics is compensated for by the action and emotional storyline. This One on One fight was fought to decide the fate of Tojo clan. Will it be inherited by Nishikiyama or defended by Kiryu?

#4. Kratos kills Zeus

(God of War III)

Kratos seeks glory. Kratos seeks vengeance. Most importantly, kratos wants Zeus to be wiped off the face of Terra! This long battle for Pandora's life eventually ends with Zeus and Gaia dying and left Kratos's condition hidden for nearly eight years! One thing is for certain, when Kratos kills in first person, kratos wants to kill, coldly.  Zeus the great for dead with a slap on his smug face. We also get a peek into Kratos's fears after he slaughtered his own family for Zeus. Kratos leaves no mercy for Zeus after that, does he?

#3. The Paleto bay Score

(Grand Theft Auto V)

The second best heist in GTA V with the longest and hardest prep, this job wanted you to gather armour and ammo stolen from the military AND use it against the military! Who would have thought of that? Fighting tanks and helicopters - to buy another helicopter to use in another heist. That's some twisted mother of shit if I've ever seen one. We also get an insight into the protagonist trio's first scores and early life.

#2. World Serpent

(God of War IV)

In another God of War title, one very unrelated from the previously set canon we see Kratos fight in the Nordic realms. Although this isn't a combat scene but still very important for the turn of events up next and a very *EPIC* sequence overall. I mean, imagine going inside a giant serpent with your boat and the giant doesn't wanna eat you. How cool is that? That is certainly very epic.

Honourable Mentions according to Reddit:

 "Vanquish. The entirety of Vanquish."

"It's a simple one, and it goes very fast, but myl l no pfavorite is the scene in Bioshock Infinite when the cop stops Booker from throwing the baseball. It goes from 0-100 in a few seconds and really exposes how different the game is from its predecessors."

"Vamp vs Raiden vs Gekko in South America from Metal Gear Solid 4.

Kratos vs Poseidon in God of War 3 "

"the correct answer is Kirby cutting the giant cannon in half from subspace emissary"

#1. Madagascar chase

(Uncharted 4: A Thief's End)

And then we have unarguably THE MOST EPIC chase sequence in gaming history. Why you ask? You shouldn't ask. Weather it's going through a family's clean laundry or fighting an armoured truck, we've got it all. It's like watching a high budget movie but better than any movie I've ever seen. And that's high praise coming from me! Just look at the screenshot-
